What is Transactional Analysis? |
TA 101 - introduction to TA |
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a framework of interlocking tools and techniques which enable us to understand what makes us tick, what impact we have on others, and how we can change what we want to change. Developmental Transactional Analysis (DTA) encompasses the non-therapy applications of TA, combining the organisational, educational and (non-therapeutic) counselling specialisms. It is concerned with applying TA to the process of change and growth at the personal, professional, group and organisational levels.
Lynda Tongue (TSTA - org) has been teaching the tools of TA to leaders in organisations since 2003, and to coaches, trainers, teachers, facilitators, counsellors and support workers since 2008. TA informs the practitioners thinking, helps them to communicate more clearly, be more confident in their role and gives them a framework of concepts to share with their clients. It is a positive developmental psychological approach to understanding human behaviour. |
The TA 101 is the official introductory 2 day workshop which covers the core concepts of TA, and is essential for any practitioner who may want to go on and do further in-depth work on their professional practice.
